KE&G’s first annual Toys for Tots drive was a huge success! Rain or shine these volunteers were able to collect over 2,000 individual toys. Huge holiday thank you to Toys R Us for allowing us to set up our collection corner outside their store. Thank you to Dana Kepner for the support as well as the refreshments and snacks to help keep our volunteers fueled throughout the day, to Empire CAT for allowing us to utilize their Loader to fill, and to everyone who generously contributed and donated for a successful fill the loader bucket campaign! KE&G’s ESOP Communication Committee would like to thank all the U of A students, KE&G employees and their families who took the time out of their busy schedules to help make this event successful. Thank you to the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots for giving us the opportunity to help less fortunate children experience the joy of Christmas.
KE&G has officially kicked off their “Fill the Loader Bucket” campaign this past weekend at the Toys R Us on Oracle Road. Empire CAT has allowed us to borrow their loader to help the U.S. Marine Corps collect new, unwrapped toys for their Toys for Tots collection drive by filling the loader bucket. We are parked in front of the Toys R Us Store and will be collecting donations on December 6, 7, 13 & 14 from 10:00am to 6:00pm each day.
KE&G would like to thank Toys R Us, Empire CAT, and Dana Kepner for helping us make this event happen. We’d also like to extent our appreciation to everyone who has graciously contributed to Toys for Tots so far. As well as the KE&G employees and their families who have committed their time to making this a success!

Last week KE&G founder, Karol George and co-owner Ken Hoover announced their retirement from the Company. They will be stepping down and handing the reigns over to President Chris Albright, Vice-President Ed Anderson, and the rest of KE&G’s dedicated employees.
In 2006 KE&G began it’s conversion to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. For the last 8 years, employees owned 49% of KE&G’s shares with 51% still owned by Karol and Ken. This year, KE&G agreed to purchase the remaining 51% from Karol and Ken, relieving them from their duties as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President of KE&G. In January of 2014 Chris Albright was promoted from Vice President / Tucson Manager to President of KE&G and Project Manager, Ed Anderson accepted the duties of Vice-President.
KE&G would like to thank Karol and Ken for their dedication and generosity. Their hard work, dedication and respect for the employees will be sadly missed. Enjoy this new phase of your life. Best wishes!
Congratulations all of KE&G’s dedicated employees who are now proud new owners of KE&G.
